It’s September already! The weather is cooling down, the leaves are changing, the sun is setting just a bit earlier… Fall is just right around the corner. So, you know what that means, right? The fall wardrobe needs to be ready. Here are some tips to do just that!

1. Colors to Have: Earth Tones

Every season has a vibe. And with the vibe comes a few colors that can really inspire

your look for the day, week, or season. For Fall 2020, we suggest considering adding a few pieces with more earthy tones. Our top three colors would be Squash Orange, Light Oak Brown, and Hunter Green (as seen in the sample below).

2. The Onion Look = The Layer Look

Fall can also be a bit tricky, because the mornings are cool, and the afternoons can get warm. In German, they say this season is the best for “Der Zwiebellook” and this translates into “The Onion Look” in English. What they mean, is that Fall is best for layering. You are better off to have a light sweater with a t-shirt underneath, so you can quickly adjust to the hourly temperature changes.

3. Cardigans & Blazers

Cardigans are also good to use in your layered look and to add a bit of coziness to your outfit (especially perfect for home office attire)! I find that my go-to in the fall usually includes a cardigan – short or long. It can dress up or dress down an outfit, depending on how you want to style it. Cardigans really can bring some diversity to your look!

Blazers are especially good to add some chicness to your outfit. Pair it with jeans and heels or jeans and tennis shoes or a casual dress and boots– you can do so much more than you might expect with a blazer! Plus they make you feel like a boss. ;-) You can check our blazers out here.

4. Shorts with Tights

Don’t store those shorts away yet! If you are like me, you may also not want to give up completely on your summer clothes, like shorts. It may be colder outside, but that doesn’t mean you can’t wear those shorts in style. Pair our Olive Shorts with some black tights for a sleek (yet, warm) look.
